Creating the Ultimate Pet-Friendly Glamping Retreat

By welcoming pets on your glamping property, you are opening your doors to pet owners and broadening your guest base. From couples to families, pet lovers are a vibrant community you won't want to miss out on.

Of course, you might be balking at the potential wear, tear, and damages, but in my experience, glamping business owners consistently list the damages caused by intoxicated rowdy guests as being a far bigger problem. So with that in mind, why not invite the pets along and allow your pet-friendly travelers to experience the magic of your glamping retreat?

Pet Perks and Paws-itive Pricing

Offering a pet-friendly experience comes with added responsibilities, and a reasonable pet fee ensures that both two-legged and four-legged guests have a fantastic time. As such, consider charging a pet fee for your furry guests.

It's a win-win – your glamping business benefits, and pet owners enjoy a seamless getaway with their beloved companions. As a pet-owner myself, I wouldn’t think twice about paying a bit extra to bring my dog along and avoid the stress of arranging a pet-sitter.

Canine Comfort and Amenities

For your four-legged guests, a getaway isn't complete without their own set of amenities. Design pet-friendly spaces that consider their safety, with secure boundaries and hazard-free zones.

Provide pet waste bags and convenient receptacle bins throughout the property. Tailor your glamping experience with dedicated exercise spaces, such as an enclosed dog park or hiking trails.

If you know in advance that pets will be joining your guests, consider leaving treats and water bowls in their glamping unit, adding an extra touch of warmth to their stay.

And don’t forget to opt for pet-friendly bedding, such as easily washable duvet covers, to accommodate your guests' companions and simplify the work for your cleaning staff.

Pet Etiquette and Guidelines

To make sure all guests on your property have an enjoyable glamping experience, you’re going to need to set some ground rules. Include pet policies in your property's Rules and Regulations, covering key aspects such as leashing in communal areas, responsible waste disposal, and handling of noisy pets.

By setting clear expectations, you ensure a seamless coexistence between pets, their owners, and other guests.

By embracing pets, setting thoughtful guidelines, and weaving pet-friendly comforts into the fabric of your glamping haven, you'll transform your glamping haven into a pet paradise.
